• Proper Stances;
The purpose of the stance is to attempt to calm any subjects,
not to raise aggression
Non aggressive, yet defense ready stances will be taught,
to help defuse situations

Proper communications, relating to the subject’s situation,
and emotional state of mind
Knowing when being polite and courteous can be the most productive

Main factors are pain compliance (not injury) and balance displacement
• Searching / Pat Downs / Frisking
• Grip Releases - Simple ways to promote subject releases
• Grounding and takedown techniques, plus controlled pick-up options
• Introduction to PPCT Nerve and Motor points & applications
Universal Defensive Tactics Course Description :
Universal Defensive Tactics Training Services promotes Officer and Guard safety,
using techniques that are conducive to the Ontario Use of Force Model (2004) and widely accepted throughout the law enforcement training services community. Effective use of force options that provide officer safety, both legally and physically, are the objectives of ISM professional training courses. Using only reasonable force, and only when necessary, are the preferred guiding factors. Professional communications allows most situations to de-escalate, allowing everyone to enjoy their special event with a positive resolution.
